Cancellation Policy & Missing Classes
What is your cancellation policy for workshops and courses? You can cancel for a full refund up to 7 days before your class. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable, but you're welcome to transfer your spot to a friend or someone else. Just let us know at least 24 hours before the class starts and we'll take care of the rest.
What if I can't make all of the scheduled dates for a multi-week course? We don't offer complimentary makeup classes. Our courses are typically fully booked, so we can't guarantee a spot in another session. If space allows, you're welcome to book an open studio session or a private class as a paid alternative at the regular rate. Please make sure you can attend all scheduled dates before completing your booking.
Can I transfer my reservation to someone else? Yes! If you can't make it, you're welcome to pass your spot on to a friend or anyone else who'd like to join. Just let us know at least 24 hours in advance and we'll handle the switch.
What is your cancellation policy for memberships? Please give us at least one month's notice before you'd like to end your membership.
Most Common Questions
Can I keep what I make? Of course! Once your piece has been fired and is ready for collection, it's yours to take home.
When can I pick up my piece(s)? Firing typically takes around 3 weeks, so your work should be ready about 3 weeks after your class date. When collecting, please check the bottom of your piece for your initials and class date to make sure you're taking the right one.
Pieces must be collected within 2 months of your class or final course date. After this, uncollected work will be removed from the studio. Please bring your own bag and wrapping to protect your pieces on the way home.
Pick-up hours: Monday–Friday 12:00-15:00 · Saturday 10:00-15:00
My piece is missing from the pick-up area - what should I do? We do our best to ensure everyone goes home with the right piece. Please note that we're not able to take responsibility for pieces once they've been fired and placed in the pick-up area. We ask that everyone take care to only collect their own work and always verify initials and class date before taking anything home.
Can I rent the kiln or have outside pieces fired? Unfortunately not. Our kiln capacity is limited and we're only able to fire work made in the studio.
What if my piece cracks or breaks in the kiln? Ceramics is an unpredictable craft, and occasionally pieces crack or break during firing. We take great care with every firing, but we can't guarantee outcomes and aren't able to take responsibility for pieces damaged in the kiln firing. Every result is part of the learning process, and we encourage you to embrace it and keep creating.
Can I bring my own clay? We work with a set range of clays that we know fire reliably and fit our recycling process, so please double check before bringing outside clay into the studio.
